SC4 to host Sanilac Academic Games

The 27th annual Raymond T. Dunbar Jr. Sanilac County Academic Games are planned for Feb. 25, on St. Clair County Community College’s Port Huron campus.

More than 100 high school students representing seven school districts in Sanilac County will challenge each other in four academic areas: language arts, mathematics, science and social studies. Questions are written by SC4 professors, who also will judge the competition.

Opening remarks will be by Dr. Suzanne M. O’Brien, SC4 associate dean of instruction and University Center, and Nick Miu from the Sanilac Intermediate School District.

The day will consist of three rounds of questioning to determine the winning school. Competition begins at 9 a.m., and the finals begin at 12:30 p.m.
